Shell and Luxshare redefine premium electric two-wheelers

Shell plc, known as Royal Dutch Shell from 1907 to 2022, was the world's second-largest oil company, registered in the United Kingdom and headquartered in The Hague, Netherlands, and formed by the merger of Royal Dutch Petroleum and British Shell. Royal Dutch Petroleum was founded in 1890 with a unique mandate from the Dutch monarch. To compete with Standard Oil of the United States, the largest oil company then, in 1907, Royal Dutch Petroleum merged with the British Shell Transport and Trading Co., Ltd. to become the current Shell. The company ranks 19th in the 2021 Fortune Global 500.

Shell is one of the world's oil giants and remains an essential competitor in oil, energy, chemicals, and solar energy. Shell has five core businesses: exploration and production, natural gas and electricity, coal gas, chemicals, and renewable energy. Shell has subsidiaries or operations in more than 140 countries and regions worldwide.

The world's energy system is changing. Shell is investing in more low-carbon technologies, including renewables such as wind and solar, electric vehicle charging, new transport sources such as hydrogen, and interoperable electricity that will power millions of homes and businesses. It is worth mentioning that the three major European oil companies: Shell, Total, and BP, entered the EV charging market as early as 2017, of which Shell is the most active leader, already in some gas stations. After installing charging piles, charging services will be provided in 100 supermarkets in the UK. Shell plans to install 50,000 public charging points in the UK by 2025, targeting 60% of the potential market without its parking bays.

In addition to electric four-wheelers, Shell is exploring electric two-wheelers as part of its commitment to provide more and cleaner energy. Shell's ambition is to be a net-zero emissions company by 2050 or sooner, in step with society.

To achieve this goal, a range of solutions must be implemented to help reduce the carbon footprint of Shell and customers using Shell products.

Today, transportation accounts for more than a quarter of the world's energy use and a fifth of global energy-related carbon dioxide emissions. People are increasingly turning to new transport fuels, such as biofuels, hydrogen, and electric vehicles.

Globally, 46% of trips are made by cars that travel less than 3 miles. Electric two-wheelers offer an easy-to-use, low-carbon solution to these journeys and fun recreational use!

Dongguan JASONS Ecological Technology was co-founded by Jack Chen, the former business development head of Qualcomm's wireless charging business in the Asia-Pacific, and James Wu, the former marketing director of Shenzhen Soling Communication. JASONS Ecological Technology is committed to creating a sustainable two-wheel travel ecology, which coincides with Shell's electric two-wheeler carbon reduction concept. Therefore, after several months of joint discussions, Dongguan JASONS Ecological Technology officially obtained the exclusive brand authorization of Shell electric two-wheelers in China and is gradually realizing Shell's vision of reducing global carbon emissions with electric two-wheelers based in the whole of China.

Shell will carry out a series of layouts in travel. First, Shell will build the highest quality electric two-wheelers and form the leading brand of electric two-wheelers. Coincidently, Luxshare-ICT is also making the production line of electric two-wheelers. With this, Shell will cooperate closely with Luxshare-ICT Group, Shell will authorize Luxshare-ICT Group to produce electric two-wheelers, and Luxshare-ICT will independently arrange production factories to collaborate with Shell.

Shell said it would vigorously promote international short-distance travel with the highest quality, safest and highest quality electric two-wheelers and a series of integrations in carbon neutrality.

Luxshare-ICT Group is just about to enter the electric two-wheeler industry. Still, according to the group's plan, it will gradually introduce production automation in the production technology of electric two-wheelers and fully cooperate with Shell to help Shell ensure its products' best quality.

As the exclusive two-wheeler brand licensee of Shell in China, Dongguan JASONS Ecological Technology Co., Ltd. will assist in the communication between Shell and Luxshare-ICT Group. Luxshare Jinxi plant has invested in 80 electric two-wheelers with the wireless charging feature to serve the Luxshare-ICT Group plant, allowing employees to travel in the factory, save time for meetings and factory tours, and have a better understanding of electric two-wheelers. JASONS Ecology will continue to input various novel technologies of electric two-wheelers to Luxshare-ICT, assist Luxshare-ICT in continuously improving the production technology of electric two-wheelers, and serve Shell electric two-wheelers production.

Dongguan JASONS Ecological Technology's corporate goal is to create a sustainable short-distance travel solution. At this stage, it has cooperated with jjPlus's overseas business department, introduced the photovoltaic energy storage system and carbon-reduction point calculation mechanism of Genergy Group, the solid-state battery power battery technology of Juneng Zhonghe New Energy, a subsidiary of Julineng, the separate magnetic wireless charging technology of Qitian Taiyi, and the travel cloud management system of Wuhan Kunjiang Technology.

Especially, in terms of wireless charging technology, the JASONS sustainable electric two-wheeler travel system uses the wireless charging module from jjPlus in Taiwan. This module integrates the core technologies of WiTricity and Qitian Taiyi, two wireless charging IP giants in the United States and China. It creates the world's most efficient and cost-effective wireless charging experience for two-wheelers.

In addition to two-wheelers, Shell, one of the world's largest new energy brand companies, has also begun exploring cooperation opportunities in the new energy storage sector with the Luxshare-ICT group. It is hoped that such a strong alliance can achieve the goal of carbon neutrality for China and the world early.
